Harvey Sacks (d.1975) taught in the Department of Sociology at UC Irvine, UC Berkeley and UC Los Angeles (ca. 1960s-72). He is best known for his work in ethnomethodology and conversational analysis. The collection consists of notes, drafts, diaries, unpublished lectures, tapes, lectures, and miscellaneous materials related to Sacks' life and work.
